Facebook hosted an interactive meeting space and social zones throughout SXSW. In support of this effort, Britelite was commissioned to develop several interactive social experience that would show guests how Facebook could be used to capture the spirit and enthusiasm of the event. Our comprehensive back-end system gathered Facebook posts from several different locations across SXSW and allowed users to browse, view and print photos to create their own SXSW story. Users were also able to dive into metrics about social usage that applied to each location they were viewing.
THE RESULT
The SXSW activations became an instant hit and acted as a social landmark for attendees. Over the week long deployment, the activations saw a combined reach of over 100 million users, with top celebrities and tech gurus contributing to the social conversation. The system ultimately was re-deployed across several events as part of Facebook’s global marketing program.
